„Living democracy – approaches to strengthen respect and cohesion in Israel & Germany“

This seminar addresses youth leaders, out of school educators, teachers and other multipliers of Youthwork in both countries. The focus will be on the question, how a peaceful living together in complex societies like Israel and Germany can be promoted with the help of pedagogical approaches, which are developed to strengthen democratic competencies and to raise an attitude of respect towards the other. Participants should not only get to know these dialog-orientated concepts theoretically, but by experience and common reflection upon personal insights.

More over the opportunity to learn from each other will be given by the presentation of good practice examples of projects dealing with different cultural groups, milieus, beliefs, lifestyles, etc..

Please note: We do exchange with Israel and our partner SparkPro since more than 10 .This project was planned before the 7.october - a day that has changed the lives of millions of Israelis and Palestinians and which has an impact on German society. We will therefore reserve the right to make changes to the program in order to respond to any need to discuss burning current questions.
